Yesterday we went out and about to look at how the seasons change everything around us.
We compared the different colours of the leaves, we found lots of trees with bare branches we also noticed how much colder it was outside - we all returned to school with very rosy cheeks!
We collected lots of fallen leaves, branches, pine needles and cones in our collecting bags. Then we worked together to create some natural inspired art!
Look at our amazing results!!
Today the children have been working in our new deconstructed role play area!
The children begin with a big space, lots of boxes and their own imagination. Working together they construct and organise the props and resources they need to create n amazing space!
Today the children decided to make their own toy shop, they designed it, measured and fitted box shelves by cutting and joining, built a counter and even a cctv camera!!! They were also negotiating with each other and solving numerous problems along the way.
Next the children need to stock their shop, price the items and get everything ready for the first customers!
Well done to everyone involved you have done an amazing job!!!!
Today the children found out about Remembrance Day and why poppies are so important. At 11o'clock the children all observed the one minute silence.
The children have enjoyed buying and wearing their poppies over the last few days.
Today the children created their own poppies using paint, printing and collage techniques.
Today lots of the children decided to make their own small world. They designed a train track that carried the passengers from Chester le Street to London to Australia and lots of exciting places in between!!!
The children added labels and features to their map and used lots of geographical language in their conversations!
Rehearsals are well under way for our Christmas production 'A Snowman At Sunset'.
The children are enjoying learning the new songs and practising all of the actions!
